The Australasian Code for Reporting of Exploration Results, Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves 2012 Edition was written under the auspices of the Joint Ore Reserves Committee (the JORC-2012 Code) to set out the minimum standards, recommendations, and guidelines for public reporting in Australasia of exploration results, mineral resources and ore reserves. The protocols herein are designed to satisfy the reporting requirements of the Joint Ore Reserves Committee (JORC) code 2012 edition.
The Code has been adopted by the AusIMM and AIG, and is binding on members of those organisations. The Code has been adopted by and included in the listing rules of the ASX. Under the listing rules, a public report must be prepared in accordance with the Code if it includes a statement on exploration results, mineral resources or ore reserves.
