We therefore seek to ensure that, throughout all phases of its activities, Surefire personnel and contractors give proper attention and consideration to the care of the flora, fauna, air, land and water and to the broader community wellbeing which may be affected by these activities.

In addition to site-specific procedures, Surefire conducts exploration activities according to the Exploration Environmental Management Standard Operating Procedure. This procedure describes the key environmental controls to be implemented so that Surefire meets its environmental obligations and maintains a high standard of environmental performance with respect to exploration and drilling operations. These procedures will assist us to comply with tenement conditions, and gain landholder and stakeholder alignment for our activities. The Environmental SOP covers the various stages of exploration, including exploration planning, environmental control during operations, and post-exploration rehabilitation. The procedure covers exploration activities that may potentially cause environmental damage, including drilling, excavations for trenching, cutting of access tracks, camp construction etc.
